Intelligence CloudSales brief · Dialpad
How to sell against Dialpad

Dialpad says AI is included. The AI you would actually use is $80 to $150.

The cheap plan writes down what was said. That is it. Everything that acts on it sits in a different product at five to ten times the price, and they charge by the minute on top.

$80to $150 per person, plus charges by the minute
What the customer will say

You will hear these three things.

1
“AI is included in every plan, even the cheap one.”
2
“They built it around AI from the start.”
3
“It is only fifteen dollars a seat.”

What Dialpad actually sells

  • A cheap phone plan that writes down what was said on a call
  • Two separate products, one for support teams and one for sales teams, holding the AI that matters
  • Everything sold direct, under the Dialpad name
What it really costs, checked August 2026

All their prices in one place.

Phone plans

$15 or $25 per person per month if you pay for a year. Monthly costs a lot more.

Support product

$80, $115 or $150 per person per month if you pay for a year.

Sales product

$39, $95 or $150 per person per month.

By the minute

One cent a minute for calls coming in, two cents for calls going out. This is on top of the monthly price.

Every number here comes from a published price or an independent pricing review from the last six months. The links are at the bottom of this page. Do not quote a competitor price you have not checked yourself.

The three things to know

This is what you are actually up against.

Not a feature list. These are the three holes in their pitch.

1
Included means the demo, not the product.Writing down the call in the cheap plan is what makes the pitch work. Everything a business would pay for sits two products up.
2
The real price is $80 to $150, and then the meter starts. That is call center money for something they wanted on their ordinary phones. And the per minute charges keep running on top.
3
You have to switch phone systems to get it.None of it works unless they move their phones to Dialpad. New numbers, new phones, new training, and a new support number to call.
What to say

Short and easy to remember.

Say this

Ask what the fifteen dollar plan actually does with a call. It writes it down. That is the whole thing.

Say this

Going from their phone plan to the product with real AI is five times the price. Write both numbers on the same page.

Say this

Everything they demo assumes the customer replaces their phone system first. Ours works on what is already there.

The line to remember
Dialpad gives you a taste in the cheap plan and charges up to one fifty a seat for the real thing. Yours is the whole thing, on the phones you already have.
