Intelligence CloudSales brief · RingCentral
How to sell against RingCentral

RingCentral charges $60 a seat for AI. That is more than the phone service.

Their phone plans run $20 to $35. The AI that actually reads your calls is a separate product on top, at $60 per person. And it only works if you switch your phones to RingCentral.

$60per person, per month, on top of the phone plan
What the customer will say

You will hear these three things.

1
“RingCentral has AI built in.”
2
“It only costs twenty dollars a seat.”
3
“One system for the whole company.”

What RingCentral actually sells

  • A phone system called RingEX, with simple AI notes included
  • The real AI, called AI Conversation Expert. It used to be called RingSense. It is sold separately, per person
  • An AI receptionist and a call center product, both sold separately again
What it really costs, checked August 2026

All their prices in one place.

Phone plans

$20, $25 or $35 per person per month if you pay for a year up front. $30, $35 or $45 if you pay monthly.

The AI

$60 per person per month. This is a separate line on the bill from the phone plan.

Other AI products

The AI receptionist starts at $39 a month. The call center product starts at $65 per person.

Fees on top

About $4.50 per person per month in compliance and 911 fees. These are not in the price they quote you.

Every number here comes from a published price or an independent pricing review from the last six months. The links are at the bottom of this page. Do not quote a competitor price you have not checked yourself.

The three things to know

This is what you are actually up against.

Not a feature list. These are the three holes in their pitch.

1
The AI costs more than the phones.Sixty dollars sits on top of a twenty dollar plan. The AI line is two to three times bigger than the phone line.
2
The AI in the plan is just a taste. You get basic notes with the seat. Everything useful is in the paid product. The free part sells the meeting. The paid part does the work.
3
You have to switch phone systems to get it.It only runs on RingCentral phones. That means changing providers, new phones, new numbers, and a new support number to call.
What to say

Short and easy to remember.

Say this

Ask what the AI costs, not what the seat costs. With RingCentral those are two different numbers, and the second one is bigger.

Say this

They renamed it from RingSense to AI Conversation Expert this year. The price did not change. It is still sixty dollars a person.

Say this

Everything in their quote assumes you move your phones to them first. Ours works on the phones you have right now.

The line to remember
RingCentral wants sixty dollars a seat just for the AI. That is more than the phone service. Yours already has it, on the phones you own.
